In this blog I want to talk about Upselling.

As business owners we all offer a range of different products and services. Do all your customers buy all your products and services? I bet they don’t!

One way to improve your sales and ultimately your profit is by your existing clients buying more from you. You can do this by using a Product/Service Tracker (A version of which is in the resources section of the Members area).

Using this tool, you list all your customers down and all your products/services across the top. Now you can highlight which ones your customers have bought from you and then the magic happens. You will see a whole heap of blanks and now you can target your current customer base with what they are not buying.

You can do this through your Marketing but also through direct email and phone calls. Speak to your customers to see if they are buying what they are not buying from you. If they are then why not from you?? - I guess they will say ‘I didn’t know you did that’ - I hear it all the time and you need to see it as an open door and a huge opportunity to Upsell.

Growing by using your existing client base is much easier than finding new customers. They already know you, trust you, know how you work and like what you provide. They are already an ‘ideal customer’ so why not make the most of them!
